The essential flashback
”Remember, life is a rollercoaster,” she said, staring into my eyes and holding my hands as I wept in an underground laundry room. It was a summer afternoon in a sanctuary on top of a mountain, and I was starting to face the chaos in my head.1

A gem in the library
The New York Public Library is my newly found paradise for art historical wandering and wondering. Among my many finds was a special [and potentially rare] edition of a book published in conjunction with an exhibition at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 1978. The title says it all… I could not find any information about the accompanying exhibition, which can answer some of the curiosities that may arise after flipping through this book. authored by Theodore Liebman, curator of the exhibition.

Exhibitions to remember
New York City is filled with feelings of missing out (FoMo). Yet, things unfold naturally once you learn the game and have some self-control and acceptance. These three exhibitions are some of those that I will keep revisiting in my mind:
Wet Light in Midnight - Mahsa Merci / Wolf Hill in Tribeca, Manhattan
The Bride has Gone to Pick Flowers - Levon Kafafian, Fatemeh Kazemi, Levani / Cue Art Foundation / Curated by Lila Nazemian
Giant Women on New York - Alice Neel, Anita Steckel, Joan Semmel, Juanita McNeely, Louise Bourgeois, Martha Edelheit, Nancy Spero / Organized by Laura Brown / James Fuentes LLC
